Filet Mignon Of Beef

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Filet Mignon (preferably the center barrel cut out of the tenderloin)
  • 3 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of cracked peppercorns
  • 3 tablespoons of Sun Brand Major Grey's chutney
  • 1/4 cup of Brandy

Preparations

  • Place skillet on heat & add 3 large tablespoons of butter.
  • Place beef in skillet with melted butter, turning to lightly sear each side.
  • Continue to cook on one side till the meat approaches desired wellness.
  • Cover meat with 1 large tablespoon of cracked peppercorns.
  • Immediately top with 3 large tablespoons of Sun Brand Major Grey's chutney.
  • Douse lightly with brandy, tipping into flame to burn off excess.
  • Cook approximately for 2 more minutes for desired taste, spooning the sauces in the pan back over the meat while cooking.
  • Slide entree onto a plate & top it with sauce that remains in the pan.
