Hearty Tomato Chutney Pasta Sauce
Ingredients
- 3 tbs p. olive oil
- 1 pound chopped beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
- 1/2 cup Sun Brand Tomato Chutney
- 2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1 (16 ounce) pkg. spaghetti
Preparations
- In a stainless steel saucepan, heat oil over medium heat.
- Saute onions until brown, approximately 8 minutes.
- Add garlic, tomatoes, paste, chutney, oregano & pepper.
- Simmer sauce 30 minutes, partially covered.
- Stir occasionally.
- Remove pot from heat, stir in basil.
- Serve hot over spaghetti, prepared according to package directions.
